Don­ald E. Vance

Don­ald E. Vance, 82, of Delaware, died Sat­ur­day (March 12, 2011) in Delaware Court Health Care Center.

He was born Feb. 18, 1929 in Cam­bridge to Albert and Ellen (John­son) Vance. He grad­u­ated from Cam­bridge High School. He was a for­mer high­way patrol­man. He had resided in Delaware since 1965 and was a retired insur­ance adjus­tor for Nation­wide Insur­ance. Don was a mem­ber of the Delaware Range and Field Asso­ci­a­tion and a for­mer mem­ber of the Lions Club. He enjoyed golf and bowling.

He is sur­vived by his wife, Ginny; a brother, Ken­neth (Debra) of Mar­ion; nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Sara (George) Bankes of Zanesville and Edith Pow­ell of Athens.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tues­day at the Robin­son Funeral Home where the funeral ser­vice will be at 1 p.m. Wednes­day with the Rev. Rich Apple­garth of Marysville offi­ci­at­ing. Bur­ial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
