Richard D. Gore
Richard D. Gore, 53, of Delaware passed away Monday afternoon (May 16, 2011) at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born April 10, 1958 in Columbus to Ray and Barbara (Summerfield) Gore. He was a graduate of Dublin Coffman High School, class of 1976 and was employed by the Liebert/Emerson Company of Delaware and was very well versed in computer electronics. He was a lifelong Delaware County resident and was a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church in Centerburg. He enjoyed long walks and the nature around him. His interests of late centered around his family, and especially his grandson, Little Will.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Alicia; a daughter, Marsha (Justin) Griffith of Delaware; grandson, William; his parents, Ray of New York and Barbara Summerfield of Lancaster; stepfather, Gene Horn of Columbus; brother, Paul (Debbie) Gore of Arizona; and half-sister Barbara (Ned) Mathias of Bremen.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Charlotte, Sheridan and Terry Gore.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 19, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St., Delaware. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

I only knew Richard for four years working with him. Very fun to be around and had some amazing stories to tell about life. Loved talking about the outdoors and going on adventurous walks in the wilderness. This man lived like no one I have ever met! In a very good way too.
