Powell couple starts home-cooked dog food business
John Howard Nicodemus, 79, of Villa Rica, Ga., entered into rest on Saturday (June 11, 2011).
Mr. Nicodemus was born on Oct. 22, 1931 in Olive Green. With pride and honor, he served his country in the U.S. Army and participated during the Korean Conflict. He later retired from Dennison and Boeing Aviation as a quality control supervisor. He was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene, and was preceded in death by his sister, Lenora Farris; and parents, Charles Henry Nicodemus and Imogene L. Smith Nicodemus.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Geneva I. Buckley Nicodemus; children, Michael, Dr. Paul, and Mark Nicodemus; siblings, James Lee Nicodemus and Flora Ann Lyons; and 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, at Magnolia Park Cemetery with the Rev. David Miller officiating. McCullough Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
