Russell F. Cochran

Rus­sell F. Cochran, 81, of Delaware died Wednes­day (June 22, 2011) in the Arbors of Delaware.

He was born July 24, 1926 in Delaware to Harley and Net­tie (Wigett) Cochran. A life­time res­i­dent of Delaware, he attended Willis High School and proudly served his county in the U.S. Army. He was a retired con­trac­tor and a dri­ver for Ches­rown Pon­tiac Buick GMC. He was a mem­ber of the Lion’s Club, Amvets and the Amer­i­can Legion. He was a long­time vol­un­teer for Grady Memo­r­ial Hospital.

He is sur­vived by his wife, Shirley; two daugh­ters, Mindy (Mike) Witt of Marysville and Karen (Royce) Lan­dacre of Ostran­der; two sons, Steve (Lynn) Cochran of Jack­sonville, Fla., and Keith (Blythe) Boger of Delaware; six grand­chil­dren, David, Andra, Chad, Paul, Jana and Jackie; two great-grandchildren, Bran­don and Brandy; a sis­ter, Ann( Mar­vin) Hag­gard of Delaware; two sisters-in-law, Win­nie Cochran of Delaware and Ruth Cochran of Colum­bus; a brother-in-law, Don (Reecie) Elsasser of Delaware; and numer­ous nieces and nephews.

A memo­r­ial ser­vice will be announced at a later date by Robin­son Funeral Home.
