Debra L. Agler Burgess

Debra L. Agler Burgess, 53, of Mount Ver­non, died unex­pect­edly Sun­day (Aug. 7, 2011) from injuries from an auto­mo­bile acci­dent on U.S. 36W of Mount Vernon.

She was born on Sept. 28, 1957 in Colum­bus to Jack Agler and Patri­cia (Lam­bert) Agler. The home­maker moved to Mount Ver­non in 2009 from Cen­ter­burg. Always car­ing and nur­tur­ing, she was a friend to all. She was the back­bone of the fam­ily and trea­sured every moment spent with them. She will be remem­bered most for her enthu­si­asm and pas­sion to help oth­ers before her­self. Strong willed and spir­ited, she loved her fam­ily greatly. In addi­tion to her mas­sive pen col­lec­tion, Debra had a great pas­sion for her flower gar­den, of which she was most proud.

She is sur­vived by her beloved hus­band, Joe Burgess; three daugh­ters and eight grand­chil­dren, Anjol (Matt) Jacobs of Mount Ver­non and their chil­dren, Luke, John and Trevor; Somer (Mike) Chat­tos of Sun­bury and their chil­dren, Mariah and Gun­nar, and Crys­tal (Rick) West of Heath and their chil­dren Chyenne, Seanna and Mason; mother, Patri­cia Agler of Delaware; broth­ers, Jack (Beth) Agler and Ron­nie (Lori) Agler both of Bucyrus and Richard Agler of Mount Ver­non; and sis­ter, Ter­rie (Tom) Dick­er­son of Sunbury.

She was pre­ceded in death by her father, Jack Agler and brother Doug Agler.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Thurs­day at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sun­bury, where ser­vices will fol­low at 4 p.m.
