All, Do you realize that a rec center makes housing values go up? Do you realize that you have to pay for most rec centers that have more than a basketball court? Do you realize that if it is worth it you may have to work for something, rather than having everything handed to you? And do you realize that the Y, as an organization, will make sure that everyone who wants to use the facility can, with scholarships and reduced rates? Maybe do some research before you decide that you can’t do it.
Most of us that don’t have money voted against the Y. It’s hard enough making ends meet, but we are paying for it with our taxes. Now we have to pay to get in…Anyone who is paying for it with our taxes shouldn’t have to pay to get in. That’s double paying. It irritates me even looking at it. I can’t afford it!
I am anxious for the Y to open. It should be a great facility. While the membership may be high, if you use it extensively it can be a good value.
what with the 6 percent of people in Delaware county that cant afford food to eat ‚and yeah 6 percent sounds low compared to the high in Ohio of 36 percent untell you realize that the county with 36 percent only has 33 thousand people so this means 9000 of them don’t have money to buy food ‚but Delaware county has 174,214 thousand so the 6 percent is around 30 thousand people that don’t have the money for food so no i don’t have the money and if i did i would give it to people that need food .

Who can afford it? I am waiting until I get old enough to go to the Council on Aging.
