Robert E. Phillian

Robert E. Phillian, 65, of Eloy, Ariz. passed away on Fri­day (Aug. 26, 2011).

He was born in Ostran­der on July 14, 1946, to Vic­tor and Mar­jorie Phillian and moved to Ari­zona in 1983. He was a vet­eran of the U.S. Army, served in Ger­many and was a mem­ber of the Honor Guard at Arling­ton National Ceme­tery. Bob grad­u­ated from Buck­eye Val­ley High School where he was later inau­gu­rated into their found­ing class of the school’s Ath­letic Hall of Fame. He was a good friend to all who knew him and a men­tor to many who worked with him in the car busi­ness. Bob touched many lives, and we will miss him dearly. In his retire­ment, he enjoyed golf, pick­le­ball and being with fam­ily and friends.

He leaves behind his lov­ing wife of 26 years, Pam; his chil­dren, Angela and Chris­tine of Tampa, Fla., Paul (Heather) Long of Scotts­dale and Todd (Nicole) Long of Phoenix; nine grand­chil­dren; and two great-grandchildren. He is sur­vived by his sib­lings, Judy Hes­sel­bart, John, Becky Mor­ris, Bev­erly Teets and Bruce of Ohio.

A pri­vate cer­e­mony will be held for the family.

In lieu of flow­ers, please make a dona­tion in his name to the Boys and Girls Club of Casa Grande, Ariz., or the Amer­i­can Heart Association.
