Robert E. Phillian
Robert E. Phillian, 65, of Eloy, Ariz. passed away on Friday (Aug. 26, 2011).
He was born in Ostrander on July 14, 1946, to Victor and Marjorie Phillian and moved to Arizona in 1983. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, served in Germany and was a member of the Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. Bob graduated from Buckeye Valley High School where he was later inaugurated into their founding class of the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame. He was a good friend to all who knew him and a mentor to many who worked with him in the car business. Bob touched many lives, and we will miss him dearly. In his retirement, he enjoyed golf, pickleball and being with family and friends.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 26 years, Pam; his children, Angela and Christine of Tampa, Fla., Paul (Heather) Long of Scottsdale and Todd (Nicole) Long of Phoenix; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is survived by his siblings, Judy Hesselbart, John, Becky Morris, Beverly Teets and Bruce of Ohio.
A private ceremony will be held for the family.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to the Boys and Girls Club of Casa Grande, Ariz., or the American Heart Association.
