No budging as budget deadline draws near
Vickie Lynn Turner, 68, of Delaware passed away Thursday afternoon (Aug. 25, 2011) at the Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus.
She was born May 13, 1943, in Delaware to Charles Leroy and Emma Naormi (Heinemen) Trigg. She was a lifelong Delaware resident. She worked at Ranco Manufacturing for 15 years, Gray’s Shoes and then American Showa — retiring in 2009 after 19 years. She had a great faith in God and loved cooking and spending time with her family, including her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Myron “Ed”; a daughter, Patty (George) Webb of Marengo: three sons, Ed (Cynthia) of Radnor, Scott (Nancy) of Atlanta, Georgia and Thomas of Delaware; eight grandchildren, Kristy, Jeffrey, Charity, Amy, Johnathan, Trent, Victoria and Zachary; and a great-granddaughter, Gracie.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, Delaware, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Donnie Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will then host a reception in the Rodman Neeper Community Room immediately following the graveside services.
