Vickie Lynn Turner

Vickie Lynn Turner, 68, of Delaware passed away Thurs­day after­noon (Aug. 25, 2011) at the Ohio State Uni­ver­sity Hos­pi­tal, Columbus.

She was born May 13, 1943, in Delaware to Charles Leroy and Emma Naormi (Heine­men) Trigg. She was a life­long Delaware res­i­dent. She worked at Ranco Man­u­fac­tur­ing for 15 years, Gray’s Shoes and then Amer­i­can Showa — retir­ing in 2009 after 19 years. She had a great faith in God and loved cook­ing and spend­ing time with her fam­ily, includ­ing her grand­chil­dren and great-granddaughter.

She is sur­vived by her hus­band of 49 years, Myron “Ed”; a daugh­ter, Patty (George) Webb of Marengo: three sons, Ed (Cyn­thia) of Rad­nor, Scott (Nancy) of Atlanta, Geor­gia and Thomas of Delaware; eight grand­chil­dren, Kristy, Jef­frey, Char­ity, Amy, Johnathan, Trent, Vic­to­ria and Zachary; and a great-granddaughter, Gracie.

She was pre­ceded in death by her parents.

The fam­ily will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sun­day, Aug. 28, at the Rod­man Neeper Funeral Home, Delaware, where funeral ser­vices will be held at 1 p.m. Mon­day with the Rev. Don­nie Akers offi­ci­at­ing. Bur­ial will fol­low in Oak Grove Ceme­tery. The fam­ily will then host a recep­tion in the Rod­man Neeper Com­mu­nity Room imme­di­ately fol­low­ing the grave­side services.
