Accident closes roadway

An acci­dent involv­ing two trucks at about 2 p.m. Fri­day briefly shut down U.S. 36/Ohio 37E near Ohio 521. A small petro­leum truck crashed into the back of another truck just east of Ohio 521 on U.S. 36/Ohio 37E. The Delaware City Fire Depart­ment and Delaware City Police Depart­ment each responded to the acci­dent. All west­bound lanes were opened to traf­fic at about 4 p.m. Fri­day. No addi­tional infor­ma­tion was avail­able as of press time.

Grand jury indicts alleged heavy equipment theft ring

A Delaware County Grand Jury this week returned indict­ments against seven mem­bers of a multi-jurisdictional theft ring that stole numer­ous pieces of heavy equip­ment then made a profit by sell­ing some of the items on Craigslist, Delaware County Pros­e­cut­ing Attor­ney Carol O’Brien said.
