Christine Howard Stover

Chris­tine Howard Stover, 78, of Prospect passed away early Fri­day morn­ing (Oct. 21, 2011) at her residence.

She was born May 5, 1933 near Ash­ley to William and Mae Edwards Eckard. A life­long area res­i­dent, she attended the Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gar­den­ing and can­ning, and also flower gar­den­ing. In her younger years, she was employed in the PPG Account­ing Depart­ment and was a rural mail carrier.

She is sur­vived by her hus­band, Leo; sons, William (Vivian) Howard of Cen­ter­burg, James (Betty) Howard of Dover and Jason (Angela) Howard of Gahanna; great-grandsons, Jared and Drew Howard; and a sis­ter, Fanny (Harold) Criswell of Prospect.

She was pre­ceded in death by her first hus­band, Basil Howard in 1992; four broth­ers; and six sisters.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sun­day at the Rod­man Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St., Delaware, where funeral ser­vices will be held at 2 p.m. Mon­day with her nephew Craig Henry offi­ci­at­ing. Inter­ment will fol­low in Berk­shire Cemetery.
