Daloris A. “Dee Dee” Price

Daloris A. “Dee Dee” Price, 49, of Colum­bus and for­mer long­time Delaware res­i­dent was taken from us trag­i­cally by acci­dent Thurs­day morn­ing, Oct. 27, 2011 while a pedes­trian in Columbus.

Born in Delaware on Octo­ber 27, 1962 she was the daugh­ter of the late Robert H. Price and Car­olyn (Flournoy) Williams of Delaware. A grad­u­ate of Delaware Hayes High School in 1981, she stud­ied data entry at Delaware JVS and was a mem­ber of the Hayes track team, run­ning on the 440 relay team. She had been an employee of Advance Auto in Delaware for many years and recently became a trans­porta­tion engi­neer with Urban Trans­port in Colum­bus. With a loud per­son­al­ity and at times bossy, she was always enthu­si­as­tic and very spir­i­tual. She was a devoted mem­ber of the AGAPE Inter­na­tional Cathe­dral, her favorite place. Always lov­ing, she trea­sured time spent with her fam­ily, espe­cially her grand­chil­dren. She had a weak­ness for peanut M & M’s, choco­late ice cream and ice cold Pepsi. Her door was always open; she was gifted in hous­ing the home­less or any­one in need. She will be remem­bered for her love of fam­ily, whom num­bered many more than her own.

She is sur­vived by her mother: Car­olyn (Her­bert) Williams, chil­dren; Triy­on­nia Price, Ter­sheika, and Ter­ryun Lewis, and all of Delaware, grand­chil­dren: Mee­sha and Malachi Lewis, sis­ters: Deb­o­rah Simp­son of Delaware, Heidi John­son of Colum­bus, Tonya Price of Delaware, Latears Camp­bell of Colum­bus, broth­ers: Stan­ley (Tawanna) and Joshua Williams of Mar­ion, numer­ous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, extended fam­ily and a host of dear friends.

Friends may call 6–8 p.m. Tues­day at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware, where ser­vices cel­e­brat­ing her life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednes­day with Pas­tor Wes­ley Moore offi­ci­at­ing. Friends may also call one hour prior to the ser­vices. Bur­ial will fol­low in Oak Grove Cemetery.
