Sara G. Baxter

Sara G. Bax­ter, 73, of Spring Hill, Fla., and for­merly of Rad­nor went to be with the Lord on Sun­day, Sept. 18, 2011.

She coura­geously bat­tled con­ges­tive heart fail­ure and dia­betes for many years. She was born April 6, 1938 in Green Camp to Phillip and Mabel Swartz Daugh­erty. She was a grad­u­ate of Mar­ion Pleas­ant High School, Class of 1956 and attended Ohio State Uni­ver­sity. A long­time mem­ber of Rad­nor Bap­tist Church, she was devoted to her fam­ily and her com­mu­nity, which she always took great pride in. She was also active in 4-H, Girl Scouts and the Rad­nor Moth­ers Club.

She is sur­vived by two daugh­ters, Kathy (Bob) Link of Tonganoxie, Kansas, and Susan (Gary) Jack­son of Spring Hill, Fla.; a son, Michael Bax­ter of Rad­nor; six grand­chil­dren, Rachel and Bethany Link, Christa Chris­t­ian, Andrea Coff­man and Jes­sica and Whit­ney Jack­son; a sis­ter, Phillis (Bill) Carey of New Bloom­ing­ton; and a brother, David (Martha) Dougherty of Marion.

She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents; her hus­band, David, whom she mar­ried on Dec. 22, 1956; and two sons, Paul and David.

The fam­ily will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Mon­day, Oct. 10, at the Rod­man Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St., Delaware. Ser­vices will be held at 7 p.m. at the con­clu­sion of call­ing hours. Her fam­ily requests that in lieu of flow­ers, con­tri­bu­tions in her mem­ory be made to the Arthri­tis Foun­da­tion, 3740 Ridge Mill Drive, Hilliard, OH 43026.
