Irvin L. Miller
Irvin L. Miller, 66, of Wellsburg, W.Va., passed away Nov. 10, 2011, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus following an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 27, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio, to Herman and Josephine (Starkey) Miller. Irvin lived most of his life in the Delaware area and was a graduate of Radnor High School, class of 1963. He retired from Kroger trucking after 34 years. He farmed his family farm with his father and sons. He was very proud of his Teamsters membership, union local 413. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and member of Moose Lodge 1076. He enjoyed attending the Kroger Geritol Gatherings.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Miller; children, Gregory (Mindy) Miller of Mount Vernon, Jason (Tamma) Miller of Marengo, Jeremy (Teresa) Miller of Delaware, Kyle Miller (Matthew Lowe) of Hilliard, Erin (Jason) Case of Delaware and Jacob Miller (Stephanie Ray) of Mount Gilead; their mother, Diana Miller Gilbey; sisters, Nanci Miller of Indianapolis and Sandra (Richard) Shaw and Donna L. Nitschke (Richard Brenner) both of Delaware; grandchildren, Zachary Miller, Morgan Miller and Jacob Miller-Lowe; stepchildren, Jerry Gooch Jr. and Doris (Ricky) Johnson, both of Wellsburg, W.Va.; and six step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Sarah Alane Miller.
A memorial service will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Nov. 27 in the Radnor Fire Department and Community Center, 4061 Ohio 203, Radnor, followed by a celebration of his life from 3 to 5 p.m.
