Irvin L. Miller

Irvin L. Miller, 66, of Wells­burg, W.Va., passed away Nov. 10, 2011, at the Select Spe­cialty Hos­pi­tal in Colum­bus fol­low­ing an extended illness.

He was born Aug. 27, 1945 in Colum­bus, Ohio, to Her­man and Josephine (Starkey) Miller. Irvin lived most of his life in the Delaware area and was a grad­u­ate of Rad­nor High School, class of 1963. He retired from Kroger truck­ing after 34 years. He farmed his fam­ily farm with his father and sons. He was very proud of his Team­sters mem­ber­ship, union local 413. He was a Harley David­son enthu­si­ast and mem­ber of Moose Lodge 1076. He enjoyed attend­ing the Kroger Ger­i­tol Gatherings.

He is sur­vived by his wife, Carol Miller; chil­dren, Gre­gory (Mindy) Miller of Mount Ver­non, Jason (Tamma) Miller of Marengo, Jeremy (Teresa) Miller of Delaware, Kyle Miller (Matthew Lowe) of Hilliard, Erin (Jason) Case of Delaware and Jacob Miller (Stephanie Ray) of Mount Gilead; their mother, Diana Miller Gilbey; sis­ters, Nanci Miller of Indi­anapo­lis and San­dra (Richard) Shaw and Donna L. Nitschke (Richard Bren­ner) both of Delaware; grand­chil­dren, Zachary Miller, Mor­gan Miller and Jacob Miller-Lowe; stepchil­dren, Jerry Gooch Jr. and Doris (Ricky) John­son, both of Wells­burg, W.Va.; and six step-grandchildren.

He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents and a grand­daugh­ter, Sarah Alane Miller.

A memo­r­ial ser­vice will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Nov. 27 in the Rad­nor Fire Depart­ment and Com­mu­nity Cen­ter, 4061 Ohio 203, Rad­nor, fol­lowed by a cel­e­bra­tion of his life from 3 to 5 p.m.
