Edna May Freeman Ladd

Edna May Free­man Ladd, 78, of Delaware died peace­fully in the pres­ence of her daugh­ters Mon­day (Dec. 5, 2011) in the Hill­side Hos­pi­tal, Pulaski, Tenn.

She was born Nov. 1, 1933, in Delaware to the late James (Art) and Mar­jorie (Rador) Free­man. She worked var­i­ous jobs to sup­port her fam­ily: Den­ni­son, Boston Store, Ben Franklin, Ohio Wes­leyan Uni­ver­sity and the Com­mu­nity Action Orga­ni­za­tion. She sac­ri­ficed much to be able to care for her aging par­ents and her children.

She is sur­vived by her chil­dren, Ver­non Ladd Jr. and Alice Mor­ri­son, Vickie Lewis and John, Deb­o­rah Hill and Jeff, Charles Ladd and Char­lene Bowen, Robert Ladd and Lau­rie and Cheryl Ginn and Jerry. She will also be remem­bered by her 14 grand­chil­dren; 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and brother, Jim Freeman.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sat­ur­day at the Robin­son Funeral home where a cel­e­bra­tion of life ser­vice will fol­low at 2 p.m. with her son-in-law, Dr. John W. Lewis, offi­ci­at­ing. Thank you for remem­ber­ing her life. Bur­ial will fol­low in Marl­bor­ough Cemetery.
