Ocie O. Harter

Ocie O. Har­ter of Ostran­der, died Tues­day (Dec. 27, 2011) in the Delaware Court Health Care Center.

She was born on March 11, 1911, in Grundy, Va., to Richard and Arminda Payne Looney. She retired in 1963 after 30 years as an assem­bler for Ranco Inc. She was a mem­ber of the Ostran­der United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women and Ostran­der Senior Citizens.

She is sur­vived by nieces and nephews, and a close friend, Betty Nose­wor­thy of Delaware.

She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Fay, and by eight broth­ers and sisters.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 10 a.m. to noon Sat­ur­day at the Robin­son Funeral Home, 32 W. Win­ter St., Delaware, where a funeral will be held at noon with the Rev. Nancy Day-Achauer offi­ci­at­ing. Bur­ial will fol­low in the Mill­creek Ceme­tery, Ostran­der. Con­tri­bu­tions may be made to the Ostran­der United Methodist Church.
