Janice Isobel Gopp

Jan­ice Iso­bel Gopp,“Izzy,” 86, of Delaware, passed away early Wednes­day (Jan. 11, 2012) at River­side United Methodist Hospital.

Iso­bel was born April 28, 1925, in Somersville, Ohio in York Town­ship, to Ken­neth Earl and Hazel (Ful­ton) Vance. She worked many years as a lino­type oper­a­tor for the Maryville Jour­nal Tri­bune and retired from Spring­field News and Sun. Iso­bel also loved to read.

She is sur­vived by her daugh­ter, Peggy (Gary) Arms; three grand­chil­dren, Michael, Terry (Dei­dre) and William Arms; seven great-grandchildren, Jonathon, Joshua, Nicholas, Matthew, Jaden, Hay­ley and Ryan; two sis­ters, Mar­jorie Clay­ton and Mar­i­lyn Kilfian.

Iso­bel was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents; her hus­band, Dale Gopp; and a brother, William Vance.

The fam­ily will hold a memo­r­ial ser­vice for Iso­bel at a later date.
