Michael W. Freeman

Michael W. Freeman, 23, of Delaware died unexpectedly Sunday (Jan. 8, 2012) at home.

He was born on Dec. 3, 1988 in Fortaleza, Brazil. He was the oldest child of William A. and Karen A. (Stoner) Freeman of Galena. He was a graduate of Olentangy High School in 2007. He was a lifelong resident of Delaware County, but considered Delaware home for the past three years. Kind and friendly, he was quiet in nature and enjoyed music of all types — the louder the better. He was a member of Rural Chapel United Methodist Church. Michael was an avid skateboarder since the age of 10. He was truly at peace on the ramps of Mingo Park, his favorite place to ride. Animals also held a special place in his heart, especially his endeared cat and comforter Abby.

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his twin sisters, Megan and Michelle; maternal grandparents, Bill (Marge) Stoner of Lexington; aunts; uncles; extended family; and friends.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Raymond and Edna Freeman.

Friends may call one hour prior to the 10 a.m. Saturday funeral services at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. in Delaware. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery.
