Dona A. Boyer

Dona A. Boyer, 85, of Colum­bus and for­merly of Pow­ell passed away Sun­day morn­ing (Feb. 26, 2012) at Mt. Carmel West Hos­pi­tal, Columbus.

She was born Nov. 24, 1926 in Sun­bury to Theodore and Cora (Ramey) Pano. She was a swim­ming and life sav­ing instruc­tor for the Colum­bus YMCA and she enjoyed her fam­ily and spend­ing time with her grandchildren.

She is sur­vived by a daugh­ter, Brandi (Nick) Pan­dis of Greece; son, Mark Boyer of Lib­erty Lake, Wash.; seven grand­chil­dren, Emily Pan­dis, Jen­nifer Bun­ner, Bryan, Tasia, Seth, Iljana and Daw­son Boyer; sis­ters, Wanda Basham of Ponte Vedra, Fla., and Walga Basham of Colum­bus; sister-in-law, Shirley (George) Hess of Mount Ver­non; and sev­eral nieces and nephews.

She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Paul William Boyer; son, Vic­tor; and a brother, John Pano.

The fam­ily will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednes­day. Feb. 29, at the Rod­man Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St., Delaware, and where funeral ser­vices will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thurs­day, March 1. Bur­ial will fol­low in Wes­ley Chapel Cemetery.
