Ella Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Harding
Ella Elizabeth “Betty” Harding, 90, of Delaware passed away early Saturday morning (Feb. 11, 2012) at the Sarah Moore Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Jan. 6, 1922 in Harbourton, N.J., to Paul F. and Myrtle (Golden) Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Presbyterian Church. She had been a Delaware resident for the past six years after living in Lyndhurst from 1973 until 2006. She was a devoted wife and loving mother which was exhibited in her moving and relocating her family three different times to South America (twice to Brazil and once to Argentina).
She is survived by two daughters, Janice Gregg of Lyndhurst and Jill (James) Hoovler of Delaware; son, Thomas (Karen) Harding of Philomath, Oregon; grandchildren, Blake and Brent (Sally) Gregg, Jory and Kenzie Harding and Stephanie, Katie and Abby Hoovler; great-grandson, Hunter Gregg; and sister, Paulina Joyce Sanford of Yardley, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Chester M. Harding.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Sarah Moore Health Care Center for the loving care and concern they provided to their mother for the past six years. Private family services will be held at later date.
