James Haas
James Haas, 78, of Delaware passed away late Saturday evening (Feb. 11, 2012) at his residence surrounded by his son and daughter.
He was born Aug. 3, 1933, in Delaware to Francis and Ethel (Curtis) Haas. He served his country in the U.S. Army and later retired from Ohio Wesleyan University. He was a member and former altar boy for St. Mary Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of the Delaware Eagles 376. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by a son and daughter and her husband of Delaware and a brother and a sister.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, two sisters and a brother.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at St. Mary Cemetery with the Rev. James Black officiating.
The family requests contributions in his memory be made to the Council for Older Adults or HomeReach Hospice.
