Myron K. O’Bryan, 47, of Delaware went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday (Oct. 18, 2011).
He passed away unexpectedly while receiving treatment at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born Dec. 18, 1963 in Ashland, Ky., to John and Grace Williams O’Bryan. He was a member of the Lake St. Church of God, where he taught children’s church for many years. He was a member of the Delaware City Police Alumni Academy Association and a proud member of the Kentucky Colonels. He enjoyed cooking and baking, loved to read and write poetry, having had two of his poems published. He enjoyed gardening, going fishing and being in the out-of-doors. He was an employee of the Grady Memorial Hospital, working in the Dietary Department.
He is survived by his mother, Grace Lewis of Delaware; four brothers, Paul O’Bryan of Delaware, Mike (Belinda) Lewis of Prospect, Patric (Kelley) Lewis of Delaware and Rolan (Joni) Gunnoe of Marion; and several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, extended family, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John O’Bryan in 1980; and his stepfather, Kermit Lewis in 2002.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, in the Lake Street Church of God, 185 Lake St., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Dan Maurer officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. Arrangements have been placed in charge of Rodman Neeper Funeral Home.
