‘Radium Girls’

Hayes High School thespians will perform their winter play, “Radium Girls,” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, in the school theater at 289 Euclid Ave. Tickets are $5 for students and senior citizens and $8 for adults, and can be purchased at the door beginning at 6:30 p.m. Pictured from left are Sammy Rupp, Emily Koeritzer and Jayma Voorhies during dress rehearsal Tuesday. The play is based on a real-life incident from the 1920s when female factory workers fell ill from radium poisoning caused by the glowing paint they were using after being told it was harmless.
