Thelma Melinda (Davis) Fox
Thelma Melinda (Davis) Fox, 93, of Washington Courthouse, passed away on Tuesday, (Feb. 7, 2012) at Court House Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on Nov. 6, 1918 in Radnor to Lewis and Mary Minerva Davis. She was born on the family farm and was the youngest of five girls, Coreen, Norma, Gladys and Jennie Lou. She worked as a legal secretary for 30 years at Owens Illinois Glass and the Columbus Depot. She was also an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed making her own clothes. Thelma and her husband had a love of animals. They owned race horses for a period of time and even raised mink. They had a special love for their dog, Candy.
Survivors include her middle sister, Gladys Gries; her cousin, Jean Flahive of Delaware,; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harold Fox, who passed away in 2001.
There will be no viewing. A private memorial will be held at a later date at Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Sterling.

Thanks to Dr. Gay and Court House Manor for the loving care of the nurses and staff the last years of Thelma’s life, and for the support of many friends who visited and sent cards.
