Brian D. Knittle

Brian D. Knit­tle, 38, of Delaware, passed away unex­pect­edly Tues­day (March 27, 2012) as a result of injuries sus­tained in an auto­mo­bile accident.

He was born June 4, 1973, in Har­vey, Ill., to Frank and Vir­ginia Car­ri­gan Knit­tle. A res­i­dent of Delaware since 2005, he was a con­struc­tion man­ager at the Ohio State Uni­ver­sity Med­ical Cen­ter. Brian enjoyed play­ing golf and soft­ball in the West­er­ville Soft­ball League. It’s been said by fam­ily mem­bers that he knew his way around the kitchen and could be counted on as “the fam­ily handyman.”

He is sur­vived by his wife, Jen­nifer; par­ents, Frank and Gini of South Hol­land, Ill.; brother, Scott of Illi­nois; sis­ters, Cindi Cloutier of Dyer, Ind., and Vicki (Matt) Camp of Scher­erville, Ind.; and sev­eral nieces and nephews.

Fam­ily and friends are wel­come to attend an open house to cel­e­brate Brian’s life from noon until 2 p.m. Sat­ur­day, March 31, at the Delaware Golf Club, 3329 U.S. 23, Delaware.

In lieu of flow­ers, the fam­ily encour­ages that dona­tions be made to The Delaware Humane Soci­ety, 4920 State Route 37 E., Delaware, OH 43015 or to the char­ity of the donor’s choice.
