Eileen V. Furlong

Eileen V. Fur­long, 87, died sud­denly at 1:01 a.m. Thurs­day (March 29, 2012) at Grady Memo­r­ial Hos­pi­tal with her lov­ing fam­ily at her side. She was born on May 20, 1924, in New York City.

Eileen is sur­vived by her chil­dren, Kim (Kenny) Evans, Ann Dun­kle, Ali­son (Kent) Pfeis­ter, Fred (Tami) Fur­long, Tom (Kath­leen) Fur­long and Jonathan Fur­long; 19 grand­chil­dren and 22 great-grandchildren; and her sis­ters, Kath­leen Brown­yard and Patri­cia Gallagher.

She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Fred Fur­long; sis­ter, Nancy Con­nolly; and brother, Jack Bedell.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 4 to 7 p.m., with a prayer vigil at 4 p.m. today, March 30, at Robin­son Funeral Home, 32 W. Win­ter St. A Mass of Chris­t­ian Bur­ial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sat­ur­day, March 31, at St. Mary Church, 82 E. William St., Delaware.
