Joseph G. ‘Joe’ Kayser
Joseph G. “Joe” Kayser, 48, of Westerville passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (March 27, 2012) amongst the stars.
He was born on Dec. 14, 1963, in Columbus to Vernon and Sally (Barbee) Kayser of Westerville. A graduate of Big Walnut High School in 1982, he also attended Columbus State University. He worked at Kal Kan in Columbus prior to purchasing Fracasso’s Village Pizza, which he owned and operated for 10 years. A man of many interests, he enjoyed fishing at Lake Erie and on the waters of his own pond, golfing at Table Rock Golf Course and wood working. Always the jokester, he had a passion for rock music. A hard worker, he was a member of various restaurant associations, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His heart swelled with a love for all people, but most of all for his beloved daughters. Whether it was hunting night crawlers or singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, they were the center of his life. He also treasured his dogs, but his relationships, family and friends were the most important things he valued in life.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by beloved daughters, Amber and Ashley; sisters, LeAnn Kayser of Westerville and Jennifer (Brian) McClary of Sunbury; niece, Madison McClary; girlfriend, LeAnne VanAntwerp of Delaware; former wife, Robin Kayser of Sunbury; the crew at Fracasso’s Pizza; and a host of friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, in the Fancher Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Booth officiating. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14, at a time to be announced later at Genoa Baptist Church, 7562 Lewis Center Road, Westerville. Arrangements are entrusted to the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to his daughters (checks made out to them) in care of the funeral home, PO Box 238, Sunbury, OH 43074.
