Margaret S. Holton, 40, of Columbus and formerly of Delaware passed away Sunday (March 11, 2012) at Riverside Methodist Hospital following a two month illness.

She was born on Aug. 2, 1971, in Los Angeles and was a member of Delaware Hayes High School Class of 1989. A resident of the Columbus area for the past 15 years, she was employed as senior fraud analyst for the Dublin office of CenturyLink. Compassionate and loyal, she was a comforting friend to all. She enjoyed reading mysteries and collecting coffee mugs and cups. Forever strong willed, she was never afraid to give you a piece of her mind. Indeed a friend, she was always there to talk, too. Margaret will be remembered as a wonderful mom who treasured spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband, Richard “Rick” Holton whom she married May 24, 1997; daughter, Sydney Holton; brother, Andrew R. (Beth) Hill of Columbus; sister ‚Andrea R. Hill of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Jo (Terry) Straughn in 1997.
