Mark Patrick Manns
Mark Patrick Manns, 56, of Ostrander journeyed from this life to the next on Sunday (Feb. 19, 2012) with his loved ones by his side.
Mark was born June 9, 1955, to Dorothy and Joseph Manns. Mark was a Dublin High School graduate and attended Mesa Arizona Community College and The Ohio State University. He was an extremely talented home builder and craftsman. He was an avid Jeep enthusiast and especially enjoyed the Willy’s Jeep. In his younger days, Mark raced motor cross and had a lifetime membership as a mud dober. Mark was a compassionate, kind man that valued his family above all else. Mark held a deep reverence for the beauty of the Mill Creek area where he resided with his wife and two children for nearly 30 years.
Mark is survived by his wife, Diane; and their two daughters, Jenna (Scott) Beckett of Williamsport, Ind., and Kara Manns of Paonia, Colo. He loved his three wonderful grandchildren, Abigail and Travis Beckett and Otto Manns-Zumwalt.
Also surviving are his mother, Dorothy Manns; five siblings, Stephanie (Dick) Rose, Carolyn Krauss, Debbie (Jim) Barleycorn, David Manns and Doug (Sandra) Manns; sister in-law, Susan (Thane) Young; brother-in-law, Bill (Sandy) George; mother-in-law, Ginny George; numerous nieces and nephews; and many wonderful, close friends.
Mark’s family will hold a celebration of his life on Saturday, March 3, at the Scioto Reserve Country Club, 7383 Scioto Parkway, Powell. An open house will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and will continue with the celebration with friends sharing memories from 5 to 6 p.m.
Mark was a very humble, generous humanitarian. In lieu of flowers, please honor his memory by donating to a charity of your choice or pay it forward with an act of kindness to your fellow human being.
