Buckeye Valley 5,

West Jefferson 0

Buckeye Valley improved to 2-0 on the young season, earning a 5-0 victory for the second consecutive day with Wednesday’s sweep of visiting West Jefferson.

The three singles wins, as they were in BV’s season-opening win over Jonathan Alder on Tuesday, were convincing. The Barons’ Jack Baesman knocked off Jon Flucke 6-0, 6-2 at first singles; Eddie Fairbanks took care of Jim Foster 6-0, 6-0 at second singles; and Zack Baesman beat A.J. Casa 6-1, 6-0 at third singles.

The doubles action featured more of the same, as Buckeye Valley’s Noah McDevitt-Stredney and P.J. Roden combined for a 6-0, 6-1 win at first doubles while the duo of Zach Hassinger and Andrew Lucas picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win at second doubles.
