Romney, rivals court Southern support on vote eve
Robert Lewis Brandyberry, 64, of Delaware passed away unexpectedly Monday (Nov. 7, 2011) at Marion General Hospital.
He was born Aug. 28, 1947 in Bellefontaine to Lewis and Rosemary (Hesser) Brandyberry. He served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the U.S. Navy and later received his master’s degree from the Ohio State University. He was a social worker for the Department of Veterans Affairs at the Marion Outpatient Clinic, who enjoyed gardening and traveling. He also enjoyed collecting teddy bears and nutcrackers and was an avid OSU Buckeye fan.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Anne (Pfahler); sister, Tammy Judy of Marion; sister-in-law, Wilma Brandyberry of Marion; four nephews, Josh (Claire) Brandyberry of Mount Gilead, John (Jennifer) Brandyberry of Marion, Justin Miller of Gahanna and Patrick Pfahler of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three nieces, Megan Judy of Marion, Megan Miller of Gahanna and Brenna Pfahler of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and two great-nieces and one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Brandyberry.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St., Delaware, and where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
