Vincent L. Hill

Vin­cent L. Hill, 60, of Delaware, passed away unex­pect­edly Wednes­day (March 28, 2012) at Grady Memo­r­ial Hospital.

He was born July 14, 1951, in Delaware to Lester E. Hill Sr. and Mary F. Banks Hill. A life­long Delaware res­i­dent, he was a grad­u­ate of Ruther­ford B. Hayes High School, Class of 1969 and he was affil­i­ated with the Sec­ond Bap­tist Church and the Morn­ingstar Taber­na­cle. He enjoyed fish­ing and cus­tomiz­ing cars. Fam­ily mem­bers described him as a lov­ing man with a free spirit.

He is sur­vived by his daugh­ters, Vatena Hite of Colum­bus and Melanie L. Shaw of Delaware; sons, Vin­cent Jones of Rad­nor, David Goins of Colum­bus, Matthew Reisinger of Delaware and Blair John­son of Martha’s Vine­yard; sev­eral grand– and great-grandchildren; sis­ter, Laura F. Hill of Delaware; and broth­ers, Collins S. Hill and Ver­non L. Hill of Colum­bus and pro­fes­sor Dor­rance J. Hill Sr. of Massachusetts.

He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents and a brother, Lester.

In keep­ing with his wishes, arrange­ments are to be pri­vate for the fam­ily under the direc­tion of Rod­man Neeper Funeral Home.
