Dale V. Nelson

Dale V. Nel­son, 71, of Delaware died Mon­day (April 23, 2012) in the Arbors At Delaware.

He was born April 20, 1941, in Min­neapo­lis to Ver­non and Viola (Dodds) Nel­son. Dale proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959–1963. A res­i­dent of Delaware since 1973, he was a retired employee of ITT North Elec­tric and retired after 10 years employ­ment with Ace Hard­ware. He was a for­mer mem­ber and past exalted ruler of the Delaware Elks Lodge. Dale enjoyed bowl­ing and pho­tog­ra­phy. The loves of his life were his fam­ily and his cat, Precious.

He is sur­vived by his wife, Mary Ann, whom he mar­ried May 23, 1964; son, Eric (Clanci) of Delaware; two broth­ers, Gary (Kathy) of Wis­con­sin and Den­nis (Vir­ginia) of Michi­gan; and his mother-in-law, Mickey Nogueira of Delaware.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sat­ur­day at the Robin­son Funeral Home where a memo­r­ial ser­vice will fol­low at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Bruce Quat­man offi­ci­at­ing. Bur­ial will be at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery.
