Glenda Elaine ‘Lynn’ Fitzpatrick

Glenda Elaine “Lynn” Fitz­patrick, 63, of Rad­nor, passed away unex­pect­edly Sat­ur­day morn­ing (March 31, 2012) at her residence.

She was born April 23, 1948 in Selma, Ala. She grad­u­ated from the Uni­ver­sity of West Vir­ginia, where she received her degree in nurs­ing. She was a very active mem­ber of St. Mary Catholic Church, Delaware, and was owner and oper­a­tor of Lynn’s Kids Child Care in Rad­nor. She loved her dogs and enjoyed gar­den­ing, shop­ping, spend­ing time with her fam­ily and boat­ing with her husband.

She is sur­vived by her hus­band of 35 years, Terry; three daugh­ters, Mau­reen (Paul) Progar of Whit­ing, Ind., Deanne (Palmo) Aracri of Colum­bus and Melissa Fitz­patrick of Delaware; a son, Brian Fitz­patrick of Tin­ley Park, Ill.; eight grand­chil­dren; and a great-granddaughter.

The fam­ily will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tues­day, April 3, at the Rod­man Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St. at Val­ley­side Drive, Delaware, where a vigil of prayer ser­vice will be held at 5 p.m. Funeral mass will be cel­e­brated at 10 a.m. on Wednes­day, April 4, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 82 E. William St., Delaware, with the Rev. Fr. James Black offi­ci­at­ing. The St. Mary Bereave­ment Com­mit­tee and the fam­ily will then host a recep­tion in the Rod­man Neeper Com­mu­nity Room imme­di­ately fol­low­ing the mass.

Con­tri­bu­tions may be made in her mem­ory to the St. Vin­cent DePaul Soci­ety care of St. Mary Catholic Church.
