Joan L. Douglass Hamm
Joan L. Douglass Hamm, 74, of Delaware, passed away Wednesday morning (April 4, 2012) at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
She was born Sept. 26, 1937 in Springfield to John and Viola (Connor) Kubilus. She was a former resident of London, Ohio, for 20 years, and while living there, worked for the Madison Press and Otis Elevator. After moving to Delaware, she worked and later retired from Liberty Castings and she also enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting and spending time with her family and her cats.
She is survived by her husband, James; two daughters, Leilani Napier of Powell and Traci Douglass of Waldo; two sons, William (Lisa) Douglass of Naples, Fla., and Jeffery Douglass of London, Ohio; stepdaughter, Brandy Hamm of Canton; two stepsons, Todd (Sandra) Hamm of Caledonia and Travis (Tracy) Hamm of Plain City; and eight grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Drive, Delaware. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.
Contributions in her memory may be made to Lifeline of Ohio Organ and Procurement, the ASPCA or to the Humane Society of Delaware.
