Orville E. Isenbarg
Orville E. Isenbarg, known to us as “Ike” or “Lefty” unexpectedly departed this earth at 3:40 p.m. Friday (April 20, 2012) at Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was the son of Clarence and Leona Isenbarg, born July 22, 1926. A World War II veteran, based at Pearl Harbor, he proudly served our country as a U.S. Naval CB from Nov. 24, 1944 to June 11, 1946. He retired from General Motors Corporation, Fisher Body Division of Columbus after 30 years of employment. After retiring, he worked for 10 years with the Olentangy Schools transportation department driving schools bus routes and school trips. He was a proud husband and father of four who stayed actively involved with family and local community to the end of his fruitful life.
He leaves behind a brother, Ralph Leo, 85; a daughter, Victoria, 61; a son, Richard, 60; a daughter-in-law Linda, 59; and a son, Patrick, 56. He has 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Ralph; and by his loving wife of 54 years, Jacqueline.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St., Worthington (just south of Interstate 270), where the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
