Debra A. Mullen

Debra A. Mullen, 60, of Delaware passed away Tues­day (May 22, 2012) at Delaware Court.

She was born Feb. 23, 1952, in Colum­bus to the late John and Irma (Kramer) Knouff and grad­u­ated in 1970 from the Ohio School for the Deaf. A mem­ber of the Ohio School for the Deaf Ath­letic Booster Club and the War­ren Deaf Club, she enjoyed camp­ing, grow­ing flow­ers and crafts of all types. As one who loved angels, she was con­sid­ered an angel her­self by beloved fam­ily. Debra was quite the teaser and joke­ster, espe­cially with her brother. She trea­sured time with her fam­ily and fel­low deaf friends.

She is sur­vived by fiancé, William Hart­ley, her com­pan­ion of 13 years; daugh­ters, Carla and Susan Mullen; brother, Jef­frey (Joan) Knouff; sis­ters, Ellen (Garry) Detty, Belinda Hut­ton and San­dra (Samuel) Deible; and nieces, nephews and best friend, Wilma Prusinski.

Memo­r­ial ser­vices will be held at 1 p.m. Sun­day, June 3, at The Ohio School for the Deaf Gym­na­sium, 500 Morse Road, Colum­bus. Arrange­ments have been entrusted to DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Delaware.
