Floyd D. Adams
Floyd D. Adams, 76, of Lexington passed away Friday (May 4, 2012) following a long illness.
He was born Jan. 30, 1936 in Columbus to Lewis Frederick and Anna Mae (Lewis) Adams. Floyd served two years in the U.S. Army. Floyd worked as a police officer in Ashley.
Floyd is survived by a stepdaughter, Deborah (Roy) Shonk of Ashley; three grandchildren, Virginia “Ginger” (Hans Jones) Mayberry of Lexington, Orion Dale Wilde of Ashley and Valerie (Rusty) Williams of Galion; a brother, Don (Nancy) Adams of Mount Vernon; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Irene Strait, Richard, Harold, Walter and Jerry Adams.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 11, at the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, Mansfield, 419–884-1711. Following the visitation, military honors will be held on the grounds of the funeral home.
