George F. ‘Ike’ Sebring
George F. “Ike” Sebring, 83, of Marion passed away at 11:30 a.m. Sunday (May 6, 2012) in his home.
He was born on July 6, 1928, in Delaware to George and Ruby (Schuster) Sebring. George married Norma “June” Reams on Dec. 24, 1949, in Marion and she survives. He worked for 10 years at the Marion Engineer Depot and later worked as an inspector at the Whirlpool Corp.
Surviving along with his wife are a son, Richard Sebring of Franklin, N.C.; a sister, Erdean See of Delaware; three grandchildren, Nathan and Natasha Sebring and Natalie Shley; and five great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Keith Irey will conduct the funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 10, in the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kingwood Memorial Park, Lewis Center. Friends may call from 5–8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
