Jessie J. McIntire

Jessie J. McIn­tire, 68, a 30-year res­i­dent of Ash­ley, passed away on Tues­day (May 8, 2012) at Grady Memo­r­ial Hospital.

She was born on July 7, 1943 in Colum­bus. Jessie retired from Sarah Moore Nurs­ing Home where she worked as cook for many years. She enjoyed road trips, gam­bling, bingo, her scratch off tick­ets and fish­ing. Jessie was fan of The Ohio State Buck­eyes and NASCAR. She enjoyed spend­ing time with her fam­ily, great-grandchildren and her dog Missy.

Jessie is sur­vived by her sig­nif­i­cant other and part­ner in life of 26 years, Clyde Lowther; two sons, Wayne (Sandy) Emmons Jr. of Ash­ley and Jerry (Melody) Emmons of Delaware; two daugh­ters, Betty (Tim) Lowther of Ash­ley and Tammy Sech of Ash­ley; many grand­chil­dren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Quick Jr. of Bal­ti­more, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Wayne Emmons Sr.; par­ents, Robert and Cora Quick; and two brothers.

The fam­ily will hold a cel­e­bra­tion of Jessie’s life at a later date. All memo­r­ial con­tri­bu­tions may be made to the fam­ily (Betty Emmons and Clyde Lowther) through the Delaware County Bank).
