Ryan A. Blake

Ryan A. Blake, 39, of Delaware passed away Thurs­day morn­ing (May 24, 2012) at River­side Methodist Hos­pi­tal, Columbus.

He was born Dec. 17, 1972, in Colum­bus to Roger and Helen (Faulkner) Blake and grad­u­ated from Buck­eye Val­ley High School in 1991. He lived most of his life in Delaware and served as a fire­fighter for the City of Colum­bus until 2011. He was an avid OSU Buck­eye fan and enjoyed work­ing with his friend John McManus. He also enjoyed spend­ing time with his son, Gaven, and daugh­ter, Kar­son “Red Bird,” both of Delaware, and he was very proud of them.

He is also sur­vived by his mother, Helen Car­away of Ash­ley, and his brother, Nick (Terri) Blake of Delaware.

He was pre­ceded in death by his father, Roger Blake in 2009; step­fa­ther, Jim Car­away in 2009; and his wife, Leah Rachel Blake in 2010.

The fam­ily would like to thank all the fam­ily and friends that have helped out through this dif­fi­cult time, espe­cially Andrea. There will be no call­ing hours or ser­vices observed. Rod­man Neeper Funeral Home, Delaware is assist­ing the family.
