I'm tired of the attacks on texting alone. The need is to reduce distracted driving in general, whether it be for the folks shaving, putting on their makeup, or reading a book all while driving. Basically, it is anything that takes your eyes and attention from the task at hand which is driving the vehicle.

Even if it is changed to that though, I'm still not sure about making that a primary offense due to the enforcement. Technically, anything that you do even for a second or two, like changing the radio station or adjusting the AC/heat, takes your attention from the road. There needs to be some common sense with these types of laws, but there doesn't appear to be much of that these days.
