MLL: Machine fall to undefeated Outlaws
Catherine Helen (Foley) Stoffel, 94, passed away on Sunday (June 17, 2012).
She was born in Delaware on Oct. 29, 1917, to the late John and Katherine Millea Foley, and she was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. Catherine was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Parish, St. Aloysius Parish and a life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She retired from Mount Carmel Hospital.
Catherine is survived by her sister, Patricia A. Foley of Delaware; daughters, Anne (Robert) Schaumleffel of Westerville and Barbara (James) McEntire of Columbus; sons, Allen and Neal Stoffel of Columbus; grandchildren, Carrie, Douglas, David, Thomas and Timothy Schaumleffel, Abbie (Joe) Arrowsmith, and Adam (Michelle) and Amy McEntire; great grandchildren, David and Rebecka Schaumleffel and Ashley and Anna Arrowsmith; niece, Kathy Barkhurst; nephew, William McNamara; and many great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Stoffel; brother, John Foley; and sister, Anna Margaret McNamara.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at the Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 473 South Roys Ave. with the Rev. Stanley Benecki as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the St. Mary Magdalene St. Vincent de Paul Society.
