Margaret V. Jordan

Mar­garet V. Jor­dan, 82, of Delaware, passed away early Fri­day morn­ing (June 15, 2012) at the Arbors of Delaware.

She was born Jan. 24, 1930, in Delaware, to Fos­ter L. and Ilo (Alli­son) Har­ter. She worked 42 years for Ranco Man­u­fac­tur­ing in Delaware and Plain City and then worked the past 15 years for the Delaware Wal-Mart. She was a life­time Delaware res­i­dent who enjoyed her cats and all ani­mals and con­sid­ered her work as her hobby. She was a sim­ple woman who was a lov­ing mother and a very com­pas­sion­ate grandmother.

She is sur­vived by her son, James Nel­son Heffner of Delaware; daugh­ter, Jill (Tim) Lan­ham of Delaware; six grand­chil­dren; a great-granddaughter; sev­eral nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band of 41 years, John Jor­dan, in 2002; a sis­ter, Mar­jorie Shriver; and an infant sis­ter, Dorothy.

The fam­ily will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sun­day, June 17, at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Cen­ter, 1510 W. William St. at Val­ley­side Drive, Delaware. Grave­side ser­vices will be held at 10 a.m. Mon­day, June 18, at Fairview Memo­r­ial Park Ceme­tery with the Rev. Don­nie Akers officiating.
