Ruth Ellen ‘Ma’ Wade

Ruth Ellen “Ma” Wade, 74, of Rad­nor passed away unex­pect­edly at her res­i­dence on Mon­day (June 18, 2012).

She was born on April 4, 1938 in Kala­ma­zoo, Mich., to the late Fred and Gladys (Heath) Wolfe. Ruth spent most of her life in the Delaware County area where she worked many years as a Buck­eye Val­ley School bus dri­ver. She loved spend­ing time with her fam­ily and mak­ing lap quilts to donate to the Sal­va­tion Army.

Ruth is sur­vived by her hus­band, Bill “Boppy” Wade; two sons, Mike (Melissa) Wade of Delaware and Duane Wade of Rad­nor; a daugh­ter, Dyanna (Scott) Dauphin of Rad­nor; eight grand­chil­dren, Shawn, Cody, Shan­non Dauphin, Shelby, Mor­gan, Haley, Kelsi and Tyler Wade; and numer­ous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was pre­ceded in death by three sis­ters, Mae Wolfe, Jean Hawkins and Freda Ander­son; and a brother, Sonny Wolfe.

A pri­vate grave­side ser­vice will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery.
