Living memorial

From left, Solomon Harkins and Naomi Wainwright work in the garden at Oak Creek Elementary School Thursday morning. The second-grade students work in the garden on a regular basis. The garden was created in memory of Jarret Feucht, whom attended the school when he was killed in an auto accident. The memorial was created in 2008 and includes a sitting bench and butterfly garden, a vegetable garden and a shelter. The produce from the garden will be sold by the school’s Caring Club during the fall festival. (Gazette | Liz Robertson)
