Community Action has received utility assistance funding for Dayton Power and Light, Ohio Edison and Columbia Gas Customers. Eligible customers can receive up to $250 towards a current bill with no disconnection notice required. Funds are limited. Income eligibility is 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. In addition, the Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program (E-HEAP) will run through March 31, 2011. E- HEAP provides financial assistance once per heating season to eligible households that are: threatened with disconnection, already disconnected, or have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel, wood or coal. E- HEAP can also cover assistance to establish or transfer service.
