Should high-powered assault weapons be outlawed in the United States?

anything that can take a magazine that holds 100 rounds should not be legal ‚its not really the gun its the magazine that makes the difference ‚in the batman move case the mans 100 round magazine was in the gun and it jammed just think how many more could have died if it had not.
you cant go deer hunting with this set up so why should it be legal to own ‚whats the point.
In “times like these” one must remember, we have always lived in “times like these”. Further, the old “Wild West” was much more peaceful than the fools of Hollywood ever portray it. When most were armed it made for a much more polite society, thugs knew they would be quickly dealt with and they never knew who might stop them, thus they usually stopped themselves, don’t believe that, learn real history. Laws will never stop crimminals. But free citizen do indeed ahve a God given right to full self defense. Finally, the only “assualt” rifles are in the hands fo the military, or crimminals. All the rest are single shot rifles and their looks make them no more dangerous than what your grandfather may have owned.
There’s no reason for individuals to own assault rifles. The prevalence of guns in our society is a threat to public safety.
assault weapons uses the same ammo as a deer rifle it fires one round per squeeze of the trigger the same as a hand gun, with proper magazine you can load 20 rounds in a hand gun. If you outlaw all guns the bad people will turn to bombs or something worse.It’s not the guns it’s the people.The most recent shooting was in a place that allowed NO guns if someone could have returned fire the out come might have been different. Be careful what you wish for,you may not like it.
AMEN. But if you outlaw assault rifles (unknow definition) only the criminals will have them. A minor portion of the crime committed is with any type assault refle. Guns aren’t the problem, its people behavior. You cant regulate or legislate people behavior. Guns dont kill people, people kill people. We live in a very violent culture, tv, movies, internet, news media, video games. Its time for that to change.
