Come to Community Baby Shower
Are you a new parent? Grandparent? Are you expecting your first baby soon? Do you have questions or are uncertain about the resources our community offers to first-time parents?
The Delaware County District Library is here to help. From 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, the Delaware Main Library, 84 E. Winter St., will hold a Community Baby Shower. Join us as local businesses and organizations showcase the services they have to help you care for yourself and your newborn. We’ll have individuals on hand to answer your questions about health, education, financial planning, safety and much more. And, you can sign your new baby up for his or her own library card, too. It’s never too early to start reading to your child, and how special is it for your baby to have his or her first library card?
Of course, a baby shower should have cake and fun activities, and you’ll find those at the Community Baby Shower too, along with takeaways and lots of great information.
The Community Baby Shower is free and open to the public, and if your schedule won’t allow you to join us on Thursday, we will host another one at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Orange Branch Library, 7171 Gooding Blvd.
And while you’re in the library attending the baby shower, look for these new titles on the New Book Shelves due out in September at all library locations.
