Gregory Allen Houston
Gregory Allen Houston, 61, from Delaware died in a tragic car accident on Monday morning (Aug. 27, 2012).
He was born and raised in Springfield, received his bachelor’s degree from Anderson University in 1972, moved his family to Tennessee for seven years and finally settled in central Ohio. In 1985, Greg and his wife Judy opened their own business called Hub Cap Annie on the east side of Columbus. The two ran a very successful wheel cover and wheel business together for 20 years before selling it, and starting a new wheel cover business with his son Ryan. Greg was an avid cyclist, and antique car fanatic. He was a member of Heart of Ohio Studebaker Club, and Studebaker International. He was also member of First Unitarian Universalist Church in Columbus. Greg loved to spend time playing with his grandchildren, going for bike rides with his friends and family, traveling with his wife, attending car shows around the country, meeting his best friends for breakfast, working with his son and reading.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy; son, Ryan Houston; daughter-in-law, Boo Krucky; daughter, Denise Kilton; son-in-law, Dean Kilton; granddaughter, Makenna Kilton; grandson, Camden Kilton; sister, Sandy (Thom) White; and brothers, Steve (Kerry) Houston and Dwight Houston.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Sherman Houston; and two brothers, Michael and Bryan Houston from Springfield.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, at the First Unitarian Universalist Church at 93 W. Weisheimer Road, Columbus.
