Gregory Allen Houston

Gre­gory Allen Hous­ton, 61, from Delaware died in a tragic car acci­dent on Mon­day morn­ing (Aug. 27, 2012).

He was born and raised in Spring­field, received his bachelor’s degree from Ander­son Uni­ver­sity in 1972, moved his fam­ily to Ten­nessee for seven years and finally set­tled in cen­tral Ohio. In 1985, Greg and his wife Judy opened their own busi­ness called Hub Cap Annie on the east side of Colum­bus. The two ran a very suc­cess­ful wheel cover and wheel busi­ness together for 20 years before sell­ing it, and start­ing a new wheel cover busi­ness with his son Ryan. Greg was an avid cyclist, and antique car fanatic. He was a mem­ber of Heart of Ohio Stude­baker Club, and Stude­baker Inter­na­tional. He was also mem­ber of First Uni­tar­ian Uni­ver­sal­ist Church in Colum­bus. Greg loved to spend time play­ing with his grand­chil­dren, going for bike rides with his friends and fam­ily, trav­el­ing with his wife, attend­ing car shows around the coun­try, meet­ing his best friends for break­fast, work­ing with his son and reading.

He is sur­vived by his lov­ing wife, Judy; son, Ryan Hous­ton; daughter-in-law, Boo Krucky; daugh­ter, Denise Kil­ton; son-in-law, Dean Kil­ton; grand­daugh­ter, Makenna Kil­ton; grand­son, Cam­den Kil­ton; sis­ter, Sandy (Thom) White; and broth­ers, Steve (Kerry) Hous­ton and Dwight Houston.

Greg was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents, Dorothy and Sher­man Hous­ton; and two broth­ers, Michael and Bryan Hous­ton from Springfield.

A memo­r­ial ser­vice will be held at 1 p.m. Sun­day, Sept. 2, at the First Uni­tar­ian Uni­ver­sal­ist Church at 93 W. Weisheimer Road, Columbus.
