City to offer help with downtown improvements

Janice Kay Scott, 58, of Delaware passed away Monday afternoon (July 30, 2012) at her residence.

She was born Jan. 24, 1954, in Toledo to Delbert Ernest and Dolores Marie (Dean) Scott. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Delaware, who enjoyed gardening, computer games and playing with her dachschund, “Buddy.”

She is survived by a daughter, Janet Lynn Johnson of Lakeland, Fla.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Christine (Robert) Resh of Delaware and Paula (Elvis) Johnson of Allen, Okla.; aunt, Shirley Bradburn of Toledo; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Parra; and brother, John Scott. Celebration of Life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware, with the Rev. Keith Ball officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.
